Why is it important?
People who do not regularly do preventive exams are at serious risk of illnesses, which are mostly curable in the initial phase but deadly in a more advanced phase.
Examples are Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer and Prostate Cancer (all reach 100% remission in the initial phase) which, in an advanced phase, claim the lives of affected people.
Other examples are:
• Diabetes Mellitus, which has left many people blind, or with amputations of feet and fingers
• Arterial Hypertension, which continues to lead many people to very serious complications, such as heart attacks, strokes, blindness, diabetes, kidney failure and many others
Aside from dangerous diseases, there are also numerous hormonal changes, fats, enzymes, proteins, and more, in addition to bacterial, viral and fungal infections, sexually transmitted diseases such as herpes, HIV, Trichomoniasis, Candidiasis, Chlamydia, etc., all of which can be check and/or regulated with a simple preventive exam.
